Usage
What vital signs can FH Vitals™ SDK measure?

Available now: Heart Rate (HR), Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Blood Pressure (BP), and Oxygen Saturation (SpO₂), Respiration Rate (RR), Stress Index (SI).

Coming soon: Atrial fibrillation (AF), Arrhythmia and Sleep Apnea.

How long does the measurement take?

On average, measuring your Heart Rate (HR) takes around 6 seconds, while your Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Respiration Rate (RR), Stress Index (SI), Blood Pressure (BP), and Oxygen Saturation (SpO₂) will be displayed consecutively after 34 seconds.

Can FH Vitals™ measure multiple people at the same time?

It depends on the processors' power and the camera specifications of the underlying devices. Usually, FH Vitals™ loaded on a handset can only measure one person at a time, while using a tablet can measure up to two people. It all depends on the CPU. In addition, for a typical 8-core ARM configuration (4x A73, 4x A53), FH Vitals™ can process 4 people simultaneously, and up to 6 people with stronger processors.

What is the effective range of FH Vitals™?

Depending on the hardware specifications, FH Vitals™ can measure one's vital signs from up to 5 meters away. 2 to 5 meters is typically applied to TV-related devices, although we need to adjust Lens Focus length to a certain proper value (such as 12mm) for this kind of devices.

Do I have to stare at the camera when taking a measurement?

No, it is not necessary to stare at the camera, but please place your face steady within the detection frame.

Does skin color affect the usage of FH Vitals™?

According to the Fitzpatrick skin type (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fitzpatrick_scale),  FH Vitals™ can support up to type V (If it exceeds type V, the results depend on the surrounding environment).

What are the lighting requirements for using FH Vitals™?

FH Vitals™ can be used under most well-lit environments (Illuminance ≥ 150lux, Color temperature 3500K-6000K).
